WADE ALLAIN-MARCUS is an accomplished writer, director, and actor. His most recent feature, FRENCH DIRTY, which he wrote, directed, and starred in, premiered at the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival and was released on Netflix. The film also screened at the Cinémathèque Française in Paris, festival internacional del nuevo cine latinoamericano in Cuba, and the Las Vegas International Film Festival where it took home the jury prize for Best Feature Film and Best Feature screenplay.
As an actor he had significant roles in the studio films BROOKLYN’S FINEST (Antoine Fuqua/ Don Cheadle), BEYOND THE LIGHTS (Gina Prince Bythewood/Gugu Mbatha-Raw) and TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT (Anna Farris, Topher Grace). He also wrote, directed and starred in the LA Film Festival Short UNA Y OTRA Y OTRA VEZ.
He can currently be seen recurring as "Derek DuBois" in HBO's INSECURE and as "Diego" in the new FX drama SNOWFALL.
In theater, Wade's performed at the Old Globe in San Diego, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater in New York, the Kirk Douglas and the Atwater Village Theater with the Echo Theater company in Los Angeles.
